Poland: beetroot prices double
Polish market participants say of higher demand for beetroots in the market. Beetroot prices have been stable for a long time in Poland. In late March, prices of washed beetroots did not exceed 0.13 euro/kg with sales being most often conducted at 0.09-0.10 euro/kg.
Current prices of beetroots are fixed at 0.14-0.19 euro/kg. In some cases, they reach even 0.24 euro/kg. The experts connect an increase in sales and prices in the Polish beetroot market with higher exports to Russia.
