Ukraine's apple butter exports up
Ukraine's exports of apple butter reached 1,200 tonnes in the period from July 2012 to March 2013, an increase of 8% year-on-year. Moldova led in imports of Ukrainian apple butter with the import volumes at 523 tonnes, 7% higher compared with the same period of the previous season.
Georgia also increased imports by 21% to 250 tonnes. Exports to Russia stood at 220 tonnes, an increase of 20% year-on-year. At the same time, Kazakhstan purchased 22% less Ukrainian apple butter. In the previous season this country was second largest importer of apple butter from Ukraine. Now Kazakhstan ranked just fourth.
