Sales volumes of grains in the 1st quarter exceed those of last year
Over the 1st quarter of 2004 the sales volumes of grains though all the sales channels in Ukraine constituted 648,300 tonnes, which is by 59.6 percent more than in the 1st quarter of 2003, the State Statistics Committee informed. The sales of wheat, rye and barley increased from the first quarter 2003 by 16.7, 21.3 and 113.3 percent correspondingly.
The sales of sunflower seeds in the first quarter made 281,300 tonnes, rising from 144,800 tonnes in January-March 2003.
