Decrease in Polish vegetable production in 2012
According to Central Statistical Office of Poland, production of field-grown and greenhouse vegetables in the country decreased by 2.6% in 2012.
Polish vegetable production amounted to 5.4 mln tonnes in 2012 against 5.6 mln tonnes a year before.
Planted area under vegetables (incl. of household plots) were reduced by 2% to 176,000 ha. A decrease in area was registered in almost all vegetable segments except cauliflower and table beets.
