Argentina reduces apple exports to Russia
According to Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation, the country imported record low 22,000 tonnes of Argentinean apples in the period from July 2012 to May 2013, a decrease of 19% from the same period of the previous season.
At the same time, Argentina was the seventh largest exporter of apples to Russia in the first 11 months of the season 2012/13, while a season earlier the country had ranked only eleventh.
