Demand for early apples still moderate in Russia
The Russian market participants say of still moderate demand for early apples in the country. In connection with that, growers do not hurry with revising their prices.
Growers hope for more active demand closer to late July, when later varieties will be available.
Russian growers currently ship Belyi Naliv, Zheneva and Luch varieties. At the same time, apples imported from Poland, Western Europe and South America still account for the largest share in the market.
We would remind you that more detailed information on the Russian and Ukrainian apple market developments will be presented at the 3rd International Conference “Apple Business of Ukraine & Russia – 2013”, which is to take place on August 15-16, 2013, Donetsk, Ukraine.
