Kazakhstan halves raisin imports
According to the official statistics, Kazakhstan has halved raisin imports in the first 11 months of the season 2012/13 compared with the same period of the previous season. In such a way, Kazakh importers purchased just 6,800 tons of raisins against 13,700 tons of imports a season ago.
Uzbekistan leads in raisin exports to Kazakhstan with the share of 56% and is followed by Iran and Tajikistan.
