Polish raspberry growers satisfied with prices
The Polish raspberry market has been characterized by low prices over the past few years.
In summer 2011, raspberries for processing were purchased at 0.39-0.46 euro/kg; raspberries for freezing were shipped at 0.60-0.70 euro/kg. Prices in summer 2012 varied between 0.37-0.56 euro/kg and 0.56-0.70 euro/kg, respectively.
The situation in the current season has cardinally changed. Buyers have been constantly revising prices upwards despite already high price levels.
Current prices of raspberries for processing vary between 0.88-1.00 euro/kg; raspberries for freezing are offered at 1.09-1.26 euro/kg.
