Russia raises raisin imports in 2012/13
The Russian Federation has increased raisin imports in the season 2012/13 after a significant fall in the previous season. Imports reached 48,000 tons, an increase of 7% year-on-year. For comparison, Russia's raisin imports in the season 2011/12 amounted just to 45,000 tons, a fall of 14% year-on-year and the lowest level over the past 5 seasons.
Iran, Afghanistan and Chile were the leaders in raisin exports to the Russian Federation. Iran's share amounted to more than a half.
