CM approved mortgage grain prices
According to the Cabinet of Ministers press service, on May 12 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine determined minimum mortgage grain prices for 3 class wheat at 650 UAH/mt, for 4 class wheat at 550 UAH/mt, for 5 class wheat at 450 UAH/mt and for 6 class wheat at 420 UAH/mt. Minimum mortgage prices for milling rye (Group A) are 420 UAH/mt, for feed corn - 400 UAH/mt, for sunflower seeds - 750 UAH/mt, for buckwheat - 550 UAH/mt, for 1 class oat - 350 UAH/mt, for 2 class oat - 330 UAH/mt, for 3 class oat - 310 UAH/mt, for 1 class barley - 390 UAH/mt, for 2 class barley - 385 UAH/mt, for 3 class barley - 380 UAH/mt.
The CM experts consider mortgage prices will help to save present grain selling prices, to compensate guarantee payment minimum level of products of agricultural manufactures in case of grain selling decreasing on domestic market and to guarantee them minimum level of profit.
Mortgage prices introducing for main grains should stabilize domestic grain market and support farmers in finance and economics sphere. This mechanism also should stimulate grain production and prevent negative impact of seasonal grain prices fluctuation.
According to the government program, Khlib Ukrainy Company was assigned to purchase 500,000 tonnes of new crop grain.
