Poland: cauliflower prices down

The Polish market participants say of limited supply of cauliflowers in the country, which, nevertheless, does not lead to the price growth.

Current purchase prices vary between 0.35-0.42 euro per piece. Produce is shipped in large bulk at 0.57-0.69 euro per piece. Prices of smaller batches reach 0.95 euro per piece.

Negative price performance was provoked by arrival of Dutch cauliflowers in the Polish market. In addition, better weather conditions (an increase in average daily temperature and lack of night frosts) have led to higher domestic supply.
