Russia raises AJC imports
According to Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation, Russia has raised imports of apple juice concentrate (AJC) since the start of the current season.
In the period from July to August 2013, the country imported 19,000 tons of AJC, an increase of 6% from the same period of the previous season. For comparison, in July-August 2012, imports reached just 18,000 tons.
We would remind you that in the previous season Russia's total AJC imports grew by 9% year-on-year and reached 101,000 tons with China, Ukraine and Uzbekistan being the largest exporter.
