Poland's apple exports down in Q3 2013

Poland has reduced apple exports in Q3 2013, according to the official statistics.

In the period from July to September 2013, the country exported almost 37,000 tons of apples, a decrease of 8% from the same period of last year, when exports had reached 40,000 tons.

Lower exports are connected with a decrease in shipments to the Russian Federation, which is the largest target market for Polish apple exporters.

We would remind you that Poland's total apple exports to Russia in the season 2012/13 amounted to 1,2 mln ton, a record high result over the past few seasons. Russia accounted for the share of 60% in exports of Polish apples.
