Kazakhstan's apple imports down
According to the official statistics, Kazakhstan has reduced apple imports in the beginning of the season 2013/14.
In September 2013, the country imported 5,000 tons of apples, a decrease of 38% from the same month of the previous year. Cumulative imports over the period from July to September 2013 reached 16,000 tons, a decrease of 16% from the same period of the past season, when imports had amounted to record high 19,000 tons.
We would remind you that Kazakhstan imported 138,000 tons of apples in the season 2012/13 with Poland, Kyrgyzstan and China being the largest exporters.
