Ukraine: further decrease in AJC prices
Ukrainian AJC (apple juice concentrate) manufacturers keep on reducing prices due to abundant supply of AJC in the domestic, EU and Russian markets.
Last week selling prices of clarified AJC varied between 1.30-1.36 euro/kg, though this week factories are ready to ship it at 1.15-1.31 euro/kg.
At the same time, current prices of unclarified AJC vary between 0.85-0.95 euro/kg, while a week ago minimum prices rarely were lower than 0.92 euro/kg.
It should also be noted that AJC prices are also lower compared with last year. In the first half of November 2012, prices of clarified AJC varied between 1.24-1.55 euro/kg, and unclarified AJC was offered at 0.87-1.19 euro/kg.
Ukrainian processors expect no increase in sales until the beginning of January and set their hopes on more active shipments and higher prices in winter-spring 2014.
