Moldova: apple prices fall to last year's levels

Moldovan growers say of extremely low demand for apples and reduce their prices. Current prices vary between 0.23-0.29 euro/kg and are almost similar to last year's levels.

The market participants also say of unsatisfactory quality of produce, as apples have suffered from pouring rains. Prices of apples of higher quality are not lower than 0.34 euro/kg. However, growers prefer to keep those apples in storage and do not hurry with sales.

More detailed information about the Eastern European apple market developments and outlook will be presented at the 10th Anniversary International Conference “Fruits & Vegetables of Ukraine-2013”, November 26-28, 2013, International Exhibition Center, Kiev, Ukraine.
