Kazakhstan lowers imports of Chinese apples
Kazakhstan has lowered imports of Chinese apples in the beginning of the season 2013/14, according to the official statistics.
In the first three months of the current season, Kazakhstan imported 3,600 tons of apples from China, a decrease of 10% year-on-year. For comparison, in July-September 2012, Chinese exporters sold about 4,000 tons of apples to Kazakhstan.
We would remind you that China was the third largest exporter of apples to Kazakhstan in the season 2012/13 with the export volumes standing at 37,000 tons, just 1 ton lower than exports from Kyrgyzstan ranking second.
