Ukraine still the net importer of AJC

Despite a steady increase in Ukraine's exports of apple juice concentrate (AJC) and lower imports, the country still remains the net importer of AJC.

In the period from July to September 2013, Ukraine increased exports by 10% year-on-year. At the same time, imports over that period went down by 23%. Nevertheless, imports in July-September 2013 turned out to be 60% higher than exports.

We would remind you that Ukraine reduced imports of AJC by 4% to 6,900 tons in the season 2012/13. Exports rose by 18% to 2,600 tons.
