High demand for Gala and Golden Delicious apples in Poland
The demand for Gala and Golden Delicious apples of export quality has gone up in Poland.
However, growers still do not hurry to sell produce from storage and hope for more favorable prices.
For the present, exporters purchase apples at 0.23-0.35 euro/kg (size 60+), 0.35-0.43 euro/kg (size 65+), and 0.40-0.47 euro/kg (size 70+), depending on quality. Purchase prices for Gala apples (size 75+) reach 0.52 euro/kg.
The highest prices are fixed for Gala Royal and Gala Schniga apples.
Apples of Golden Delicious variety are in lower demand. Exporters purchase those apples at 0.33-0.38 euro/kg (size 65+) and 0.40-0.43 euro/kg (size 70+).
