Lower purchasing rates in Polish pear market
The Polish pear market participants say of a slight decrease in exporters' interest in produce. In their turn, growers do not hurry to open cold storage facilities in the hope of more favorable price levels.
Conference and Lukas pears are now the most popular varieties among Polish exporters.
Purchase prices of Lukas pears vary between 0.40-0.45 euro/kg (size 60+), 0.43-0.50 euro/kg (size 65+), and 0.47-0.57 euro/kg (size 70+).
Conference pears are offered at 0.43-0.47 euro/kg (size 55+) and 0.47-0.52 euro/kg (size 60+). High-quality pears of size 65+ can be purchased even at 0.59 euro/kg.
