Poland: weak demand for export-quality red apples
The demand for export-quality red apples remains limited in Poland.
Exporters purchase produce in small volumes and are interested mainly in apples from cold storage.
Maximum purchase prices of apples from ordinary storage facilities reach 0.16-0.19 euro/kg. Apples from cold storage are shipped at 0.21-0.28 euro/kg.
Jonagold, Ligol and Gloster are in highest demand among red varieties for the present.
