Russia: 1.4 mln t of grain sold in 30 days of grain interventions
Exchange tenders within the state commodity interventions are continued on Russian grain market. According to the press-centre of Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange, on May 18 the participants of exchange tenders bought 48,500 tonnes of grain, including 17,800 tonnes of 3rd class wheat at the average price of 4,494 roubles per tonne, 21,300 tonnes of 4th class wheat at 3,682 roubles per tonne, and 9,400 tonnes of milling rye (Group A) at 2,572 roubles per tonne (29 roubles = $1).
During the 30 days of the exchange tenders there were 1.36 million tonnes of grains, sold from the intervention fund, including 444,000 tonnes of 3rd class wheat, 731,500 tonnes of 4th class wheat and 229,000 tonnes of milling rye.
The commodity interventions on Russian grain market are extended till May 26. It was initially planned to finish the trades on May 19.
