Kazakhstan: record low imports of apples in November 2013
Kazakhstan's imports of apples were record low in November 2013, according to the official statistics.
The import volumes totaled 10,000 tons, a decrease of 17% compared with the same month of the previous year. Cumulative imports in the first 5 months of the season 2013/14 amounted to 35,000 tons, a decrease of 19% year-on-year and the lowest result over the past 5 seasons.
We would remind you that Kazakhstan imported 138,000 tons of apples in the season 2012/13 with Poland, Kyrgyzstan, China, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan being the largest exporters.
