Russia: imports of Chinese AJC down
Russia's imports of Chinese AJC (apple juice concentrate) in July-November 2013 were record low over the past 5 years. According to the official statistics, they totaled just 19,100 tons, a decrease of a third compared with the same period of the previous season.
The market experts connect record low imports with rather moderate demand for AJC in Russia due to abundant supply of both domestic and foreign produce in the country.
Nevertheless, despite lower exports, China is still the largest exporter of AJC to the Russian Federation with the share of 51% in Russia's total imports in July-November 2013.
