Onion prices up in Kiev, Ukraine
Fruit-Inform price monitoring shows an increase in onion prices at Stolychnyi Wholesale Market, Kiev, Ukraine, after a fall in them a week before.
Current wholesale prices of onions vary between 0.51-0.53 euro/kg, an increase of 10% week-on-week. Furthermore, current prices are 4.5 times of those registered in the same period of the previous year.
The price growth is connected with higher trading and purchasing activity in the market. We would remind you that onions became 15% less expensive last week due to a decrease in demand.
