Polish pear exports to Ukraine significantly up
Poland is expanding its presence in the Ukrainian pear market, according to State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
Polish exporters sold about 1,000 tons of pears to Ukraine in January 2014, 15 times of exports in the same month of the previous year.
Poland's cumulative exports over the first 7 months of the season 2013/14 totaled 2,300 tons, almost 5.7 times of the export volumes in the same period of the previous season.
Furthermore, Poland keeps on being the leader in pear exports to Ukraine with the share of 66% in Ukraine's total pear imports over July 2013 – January 2014.
