India's raisin exports to Ukraine up twelvefold
According to the official statistics, Ukraine's imports of Indian raisins in January 2014 were 12 times of the import volumes in the same month of the previous year and totaled record high 1,500 tons.
In the first 7 months of the current season, India exported 3,800 tons of raisins to Ukraine, 2.7 times of exports in the same period of the previous season.
However, despite such a sharp rise in exports, India is still the second (after Iran) largest exporter of raisins to Ukraine with the share of 32% in Ukraine's total imports. The share of Iran stands at 46%.
