Poland: stable prices of imported pears
The Polish market participants say of more active sales of imported pears in the country.
In view of a seasonal factor, the supply of domestic produce has recently gone down significantly and led to higher demand for imported pears, which shipments from the Western Europe are regular now.
However, despite an increase in demand, prices of imported pears have been stable for a long time in Poland.
Prices of Conference pears (of Belgian and Dutch origin) currently vary between 11.90-14.28 per carton of 12 kg (0.99-1.19 per gross kg), depending on caliber.
