Russia reduces AJC imports in January
The Russian Federation imported just 5,300 tons of apple juice concentrate (AJC) in January 2014, a decrease of 16% year-on-year and the lowest result over the past 4 years.
The market analysts connect such a fall with abundant supply of AJC in Russia and extremely low demand for AJC in the Russian market.
China and Ukraine traditionally led in AJC exports to the Russian Federation with their cumulative share standing at 80% in Russia's total AJC imports in January.
Russia's imports of AJC over July 2013 – January 2014 totaled 58,000 tons, a decrease of 2% compared with the same period of the previous season.
