Russia: 1.47 mln t of grain sold in 32 days of grain interventions
Exchange tenders within the state commodity interventions are continued on Russian grain market. According to the press-centre of Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange, on May 25 the participants of exchange tenders bought 28,700 tonnes of grain, including 5,000 tonnes of 3rd class wheat at the average price of 4,542 roubles per tonne, 12,800 tonnes of 4th class wheat at 3,660 roubles per tonne, and 10,900 tonnes of milling rye (Group A) at 2,623 roubles per tonne (29 roubles = $1).
During the 32 days of the exchange tenders the amount of grains, sold from the intervention fund, totalled 1.36 million tonnes, including 463,000 tonnes of 3rd class wheat, 765,000 tonnes of 4th class wheat and 244,400 tonnes of milling rye.
The commodity interventions on Russian grain market have been extended till May 26. Initially it was planned to finish the trades on May 19.
