Ukraine: further decrease in strawberry prices at wholesale markets
According to Fruit-Inform daily price monitoring, strawberry prices keep on going down at Ukrainian wholesale markets.
Strawberries became 25% less expensive at Krymskiy Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol, over a week. Now prices average UAH 30/kg (EUR 1.80/kg) that is similar to prices in the same period of the previous season.
Meanwhile, strawberries are offered at UAH 21-23/kg (EUR 1.26-1.38/kg) at Ozerka Wholesale Market, Dnipropetrovsk, a decrease of 35-40% week-on-week. A year ago prices were 10-15% higher.
The most significant decrease in prices compared with the previous week was registered at Kopani Wholesale Market, Kherson Region. Prices average UAH 20/kg (EUR 1.20/kg) there, a decrease of 50% week-on-week and an increase of 15% year-on-year.
Sellers at Shuvar Wholesale Market, Lviv, did not revise prices: UAH 20/kg (EUR 1.20/kg) that is 15% lower compared with the same period of the previous season.
