Russia: stable shipments of Polish apples
The Russian market participants say of active imports of Polish apples despite a gradual decrease in the demand for them.
The situation is connected with relatively low prices for Polish produce that is now offered at RUB 30-36/kg (EUR 0.61-0.73/kg).
Meanwhile, apples of Italian, Serbian, French and South African origin are averagely 50% more expensive than Polish fruits, therefore the demand for them has been gradually going down, and many Russian companies purchase them just to maintain their assortment.
