Russia: Polish apples less expensive compared with last year
Russian sellers do not revise prices of Polish apples due to low trading and purchasing rates in the market.
For the present, apples of Polish origin are offered at RUB 26-32/kg (USD 0.73-0.90/kg), depending on variety and quality, a decrease of 15% compared with the second half of June 2013. Traders also say of currently significantly worse quality of offered produce.
The market participants say of regular exports of Polish apples to the Russian Federation with Idared variety being now the most popular one.
