Ukraine: prices of early apples down
The Ukrainian market participants say of a decrease in prices of early apples due to growing supply of low-quality apples that are affected by apple scab.
As a result, Ukrainian growers offer early apples at UAH 4-10/kg (EUR 0.25-0.62/kg), while in the end of the previous week prices were not lower than UAH 7/kg (EUR 0.43/kg).
Nevertheless, it should be noted that in the mid-July 2013 apples were averagely a third less expensive than today.
