Ukraine to raise apple exports to Kazakhstan
Ukraine may significantly raise apple exports to Kazakhstan in the current season.
Under conditions of difficult trade relations with Russia, Kazakhstan may become one of the most attractive alternative export markets for Ukrainian apples, which may successfully compete in price and quality with domestic produce in the Kazakh market.
However, the market analysts believe that Ukraine will be able to successfully ship apples to Kazakhstan until November, when Poland and Moldova are to enter the Kazakh market with their apples.
It should also be noted that Poland was the leader in apple exports to Kazakhstan in the season 2013/14 with the share of 40% in Kazakhstan's total imports. China and Kyrgyzstan were the second and third largest suppliers, respectively, while Ukraine ranked only 15th.
