Ukraine: apple prices double in Crimea year-on-year
Apple prices in Crimea, Ukraine, have already doubled year-on-year and keep on rising.
Apples became 10% more expensive over the past weekend, and now sellers at Krymskiy Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol, offer fruits at UAH 6-13/kg (EUR 0.33-0.72/kg), depending on variety and quality.
The price growth is connected with high demand for apples in Russia under conditions of the ban on imports from the EU and Moldova.
