Polish apple exporters focus on Bulgarian market
Polish farmers now have to seek for new apple export markets due to Russia's ban.
Several weeks ago exporters have started actively exporting apples to the Bulgarian market thanks to a significant decrease in apple prices in Poland, which are now half as high as a year before. Polish apples are offered at 0.23-0.26 euro/kg in Bulgaria, while prices of local apples are twice as high there.
Bulgarian growers are seriously concerned about Poland's expansion in the local market, as they also face problems with sales of their apples in the current season.
