Russia: pear prices rapidly grow in Saint Petersburg
The devaluation of the Russian ruble has resulted in rapid growth in pear prices in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Pears have become at least 15% more expensive over the past week and keep on growing.
For the present, Serbian pears are offered at RUB 65-80/kg (USD 1.31-1.55/kg) there, while a week before their prices were not higher than RUB 60-71/kg (USD 1.39-1.74/kg).
The same situation is observed in the segment of Moroccan pears. In the past week they were sold at RUB 66-73/kg (USD 1.44-1.59/kg). Now they are shipped at RUB 75-80/kg (USD 1.63-1.74/kg).
