Ukraine: production of Golden Delicious apples grows for 5th season in a row
Ukrainian growers have been raising production of Golden Delicious apples for the 5th season in a row.
According to WAPA data, Ukraine's production of those apples will reach 234,000 tons in the season 2014/15, an increase of 10% year-on-year and 20% higher than average over the past 5 seasons.
It should also be noted that Golden Delicious is the second most produced variety of apples in Ukraine after Idared. This year Golden Delicious is expected to be accounted for the share of about 18% of Ukraine's total apple production.
