Prices of Belgian pears up in Poland
Prices of Belgian pears currently vary between 0.90-0.96 euro/kg, an increase of 7% week-on-week. For comparison, prices stood at just 0.80-0.89 euro/kg a week before.
The price growth is registered due to a decrease in the supply of domestic pears in Poland, which enables importers to gradually raise prices against a background of rather high demand.
In addition to Belgian produce, Polish importers offer Dutch pears at 1.00-1.08/kg; however, the demand for them is moderate due to relatively high prices.
