Poland doubles apple exports to Kazakhstan in January

Poland keeps on expanding its presence in the alternative apple export markets under conditions of Russia's ban on imports.

In particular, Poland has shipped 8,000 tons of apples to Kazakhstan in January 2015, twice as high as registered in the same month of the previous year.

Kazakhstan's cumulative imports of Polish apples in July 2014 – January 2015 totaled 31,000 tons, an increase of 80% year-on-year. Furthermore, Poland kept its leading position among apple exporters to Kazakhstan and accounted for the share of 46% in Kazakhstan's total imports of apples over that period.
