Poland: stocks of Gala apples halve in March
According to WAPA estimations, stocks of Gala apples have more than halved in Poland in March 2015.
As of April 01, 2015, Polish stocks totaled 12,000 tons against 25,000 tons a month before. It should also be noted that the stocks have also halved on a year-on-year basis.
Now prices of export-quality Gala apples vary between 0.50-0.60 euro/kg in Poland, and growers say of still high demand for their fruits in Russia.
