Ukraine: later and longer blossoming in apple orchards not to affect harvesting terms

Apple orchards have started blossoming 7-10 days later than last year in Ukraine due to rather cold and long spring.

«This year orchards have started blossoming at least a week later than usual. In addition, the blossoming period was longer», says a representative of one of the leading apple farms in Ukraine. «This year orchards were blossoming for about two weeks against just 5-6 days in the previous years».

At the same time, apple growers do not expect the harvesting campaign to start later than usual and plan to harvest first apples in late July.

More detailed information about the Ukrainian apple market developments will be presented at the 5th International Conference «Apple Business of Ukraine-2015», which is going to take place on August 13, Kleopatra Hotel, Kamyanets-Podilskyi, Ukraine, and on August 14 all registered participants will be able to visit one of the leading apple farms in the region.

Conference draft program, participation conditions, advertising options, sponsorship offer and application form are available on the official web-site.
