Poland keeps on expanding presence in Kazakh apple market
Poland keeps on expanding its presence in the Kazakh apple market, according to the official statistics.
Kazakhstan purchased 10,000 tons of Polish apples in April 2015, an increase of 43% compared with the same month of the previous year, when imports had reached just 7,000 tons.
As a result, Poland exported 60,000 tons of apples to Kazakhstan in July 2014 – April 2015, almost twice as high as registered in the previous season.
It should also be noted that Poland kept on leading in apple exports to Kazakhstan and accounted for about a half of Kazakhstan's total apple imports since the beginning of this season. Morevoer, the demand for Polish apples has been growing in Kazakhstan for at least 5 past years. Poland has been the leader in apple exports to Kazakhstan for the past three seasons against exporting just 20,000 tons in the season 2010/11.
