Ukraine: apple prices fall in Kherson Oblast
Apple prices have fallen since the end of the previous week in Kherson Oblast, Ukraine.
For the present, sellers at Kopani Wholesale Market offer apples at UAH 6-10/kg (USD 0.26-0.44/kg), depending on quality, variety and fruit size, a decrease of 35-40% compared with a week before, when prices were at least at UAH 10/kg.
Negative price trend is registered due to a seasonal increase in apple supply in Ukraine. At the same time, despite a week-on-week fall in prices, they are still higher compared with those fixed at Kopani Wholesale Market in the same period of the previous season. For comparison, apple prices did not exceed UAH 8/kg a year before.
More detailed information about the Ukrainian apple market developments will be presented at the 5th International Conference «Apple Business of Ukraine-2015», which is going to take place on August 13-14, Kleopatra Hotel, Kamyanets-Podilskyi, Ukraine.
