Ukraine: pear prices down in Khmelnytskyi

Pear prices have been going down at Dubovo Wholesale Market, Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine.

Now pears are offered at UAH 8-9/kg (USD 0.34-0.38/kg), a decrease of 20-25% week-on-week due to a seasonal rise in the supply of domestic pears in Ukraine.

However, despite a week-on-week fall in prices, pears are still a third more expensive year-on-year. At the same time, prices in the USD equivalent have fallen by 33% since the mid-August 2014.
