Ukraine: highest cauliflower prices fixed by Lviv traders
Cauliflower prices have sharply grown in Lviv, Ukraine: up by 70% week-on-week, according to Fruit-Inform.
For the present, cauliflowers are offered at UAH 12-15/kg (USD 0.51-0.69/kg) at Shuvar Wholesale Market, Lviv, against UAH 7-9/kg (USD 0.30-0.39/kg) a week before. The market participants connect the price growth with a seasonal decrease in supply under conditions of rather high demand for produce.
At the same time, prices at other wholesale markets are relatively stable.
Cauliflowers are now offered at UAH 10-11/kg (USD 0.42-0.47/kg) at Stolychnyi Wholesale Market, Kiev. As regards Kopani Wholesale Market, Kherson Oblast, prices vary between UAH 7-8/kg (USD 0.30-0.34/kg) there.
