Ukraine's apple exports to Belarus 18 times as high as in the previous year!
In July-October 2015, Belarus has raised imports of Ukrainian apples 18 times compared with the same period of the previous season.
Ukraine's exports totaled 2,020 tons against just 113 tons in the same period of the previous year.
Fruit-Inform analysts believe that the largest part of those volumes was then re-exported to the Russian market in view of the ban on imports from Ukraine introduced by Russia. Such a conclusion is also confirmed by the fact that Ukrainian apple exports to Belarus have peaked in October, the month when Crimea blockade started and resulted in stop of exports to Russia through Crimea.
