Ukrainian growers uncertain about start of white cabbage sales

A long-awaited increase in prices of traditional vegetables was registered in Ukraine in the beginning of this week, and white cabbage ones had grown the most. The market participants connect such a price situation with abundant snowfall. Indeed, transport operators were unable to reach supermarkets' distribution centers, and the supply of vegetables also decreased at food markets due to bad weather conditions. At the same time, having analyzed the price situation in separate segments, it is clear that white cabbage prices have grown themost significantly week-on-week with logistical problems being just among a number of reasons for positive price trend.
