Armenia doubles fruit and vegetable exports in the beginning of 2016
Armenia has exported more than 10,200 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables since the beginning of this year against about 5,100 tons in the same period of the previous year.
According to the data from the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia, exports of fruits and grapes totaled 3,300 tons as of February 23, 2016, against 2,200 tons a year ago, while the export volumes of vegetables and potatoes amounted to slightly less than 7,000 tons against 2,800 tons in the same period of the previous year.
The Russian Federation, Georgia, Switzerland and Iraq were reported as the largest export markets for Armenian fruits and vegetables.
